That\u2019s a swing worth about $28,400 in home value if you\u2019re working with a $2,000 monthly budget.<\/p>\n<p>Credit scores made the biggest impact: moving from the high 600s to a 720 score often meant better pricing, with the most important thresholds at 700 and 720. But there\u2019s another detail I want my buyers to pay attention to\u2014comparison shopping. The data showed that a very competitive lender could beat a typical one by 19 basis points, which translates to roughly $5,800 in value.
